While exciting times lie ahead for Ms Dixon and Ms Pettigrew, the Humanities Domain will miss them both. Ms Dixon has shown her enthusiasm for teaching economics and her willingness to support her students. We will remember Ms Pettigrew for her passion for Geography and all things environmental.

As I leave Wanganui for the second time, I am surprised to find my emotions are very similar to when I graduated in Year 12. I am grateful for the support I have received from the teachers and support staff that has developed my confidence as a teacher. I am also sad to be leaving such an amazing office that has kept me laughing through those busy and stressful times. Lastly, I am excited for the new chapter ahead: my wedding in January and new teaching position in Melbourne. I will never forget my first years teaching at Wanganui Park - the students will always have a place in my heart.

As 2018 approaches and I prepare for family leave, I have reflected on my time at Wanganui Park Secondary College. I chose to study teaching to create positive change and also to keep my mind active every day. My classroom and extra-curricular experiences at Wanganui Park Secondary College have certainly given me these opportunities. I have enjoyed watching students develop their skills, expand their knowledge of the world around them and grow more confident as young adults. I wish students all the best in 2018 and their future endeavours.
A sincere thank you to the executive team, staff and parents for inviting me into your community and making Shepparton feel like home.
