Italian News 3-6
Questa settimana (this week), the 3-6 students will be completing their learning which focussed on ‘la Scuola’. Students in years 3/4 have been practising using the italian names of classroom objects by playing games as well as performing their own short role play.
The 5/6 students will be working in groups to read and translate a short text. They will write their own text, practice reading it and present it to the class. Students will then give each other feedback based on correct pronunciation. As a treat, the seniors were introduced to an Italian card game called ‘Scopa’.
Over the final weeks of the term the 3-6 students will listen to an Italian christmas story, read Italian christmas poems and write their very own Italian christmas card to a loved one.
A presto

St. Mary's Parish Family Christmas Tree
Christmas is such a joyous time and this year we will have a new Christmas Tree which will be placed at the rear of the Altar in the Church. We are calling this our Parish Family Christmas Tree and are encouraging each family to bring a decoration to represent your family. These decorations will be collected at the Masses on the 7/8 of December and the14/15 of December to be placed on the tree or you can also bring them to the school office. If anyone has extra Christmas lights they wish to donate we would be most grateful. We will still also have the giving tree at the back of the Church so people can make donations to support those in need.
Teen Spirit
The final Teen Spirit Mass will be held on Sunday, December 15 at 5.30 p.m . We welcome teens (year 6 to year 12) to join us for the Mass followed by pizza and activities in the hall. We hope to see lots of teens there. Spread the word!
