Old Scholars Reunion, Class of 2007
The 10 year reunion of the class of 2007 provided the opportunity for old scholars to reconnect with each other, as well as current and former staff. Conversation and laughter flowed as old scholars reminisced at their school photos, events and stories of their time at Endeavour.
Our current College Captains took them on a school tour and they were amazed by the inevitable changes to buildings, facilities and resources, while revisiting familiar haunts.
It was wonderful to catch up with news, including what they are doing now. Career paths followed included teaching, legal practice, store manager of a jewellery store, cake decorating, corporate commercial real estate manager, retail manager, police officer, site manager for disability services, nuclear medicine technologist, software engineering and undertaking tertiary studies for the first time. So many pathways, so much talent and so many dreams realized – either by design; being in the right place at the right time; or by learning from mistakes. It was great to hear the memories of Endeavour too; inspirational teachers, camps and experiences where friendships were made.

Drama Excursion
On Wednesday 14 June, Endeavour College’s Year 9, 10, 11 and 12 Drama classes, had the privilege of attending the multi-award winning production, Matilda. Inspired by the loved novelist, Roald Dahl and presented by The Royal Shakespeare Company, Louise Withers, Michael Coppel and Michael Watt, Matilda, The Musical is a timeless story of a young girl with an extraordinary gift who overcomes many a trial and has the courage to change her fate and stand for what is right. The music and lyrics by Tim Minchin had the students and staff bopping in their seats and humming the tunes for the rest of the week. This spellbinding play captured the audience’s attention from beginning to end and reminded us all of the power of imagination and determination, that even the smallest of people can make the biggest differences.
On behalf of the Drama department, we extend our gratitude's towards Miss Ausserlechner and Miss Stanley who attended the production with us and to our Drama teacher Mr Richards for granting us this and numerous other opportunities to experience such incredible theatre. It was truly a surreal experience, the spectacle of which truly inspired awe, from the production design, to the performances and music. The Drama department gives its most sincere thanks to the talented cast and crew for their incredible performances and to the Royal Shakespeare Company for providing Adelaide audiences with a world class performance.
