K-6 Sport
Year 3-6 Primary Swimming
This week Year 3-6 will continue going to the Town Pool for stroke development, water safety procedures, rescue’s and to participate in water activities. Students will travel to the pool by bus from 1:45pm – 3:00pm. Next week, 19 December, students will go swimming from 12:00-3:00pm and be given free time as part of end of year activities.
Year 1 and 2 Pool Activities
On the last day of term, Wednesday 19 December, Year 1 and Year 2 students will be going to the pool. They will leave at 9:30am and return at 11:30am. On the day, students may wear plain clothes. Cost is $3.20 per child or season passes may be used. Children are asked to bring sunscreen, protective clothing (hats, swim shirt and goggles), towel and a water bottle. They will be allowed to go to the canteen for a snack if you would like to send a small amount of money, but will return to school for lunch. Notes went home last week. Please return the permission note and money to your classroom teacher by Friday, 14 December.
Obstacool
Inverell Shire Council is bringing 'Obstacool' to Varley Oval on Thursday 13 December and Friday 14 December 2018 and all of our students will have the opportunity to attend across the 2 days. 'Obstacool' includes a range of obstacles that are both challenging and fun for students aged 4-12. The course itself is made up of a giant mix of inflatables together with timber walls, tunnels, rock walls, commando nets and stepping stones. There is no charge to participate and is funded by Inverell Shire Council and the NSW Youth Opportunities program. Each group will have 45 minutes of active fun. All permission notes need to be returned ASAP please.

Secondary Sport
School Sport
Elective Sports will run for the final time this week. Students will be doing one of the following: Indoor Sports $4.00, Road 2 Victory CrossFit $5.00, Lawn bowls, and School Sport. All students are reminded to bring a drink bottle and a hat. Students going to Crossfit are required to bring a towel.
