It has been great to be back at school this week. We have been quite busy assisting Year 12 students finalise their VTAC applications. Whilst we have been in touch virtually over the last few weeks with the majority of students - it so much better having these chats face-to-face.
Work Experience
10C were supposed to be undertaking their work experience placements this week, but unfortunately they had to be postponed. We are now in the process of reorganising this for them to do later in October. Ten students have expressed interest in participating in the ‘Set your Heart on a Career in Accounting’ work experience program. We are waiting for a date in October or November for this to proceed.
Emerging Occupations
The National Skills Commission has identified emerging occupations and skills within Australia in a recent report. The report aims to look at how these newly identified skills change existing jobs, emerging or new jobs in the labour market and to identify employment opportunities that may be needed in years to come. The emerging occupations include:
