Our second area of study for this term is centred on advertising and how visual communications can support the purpose of advertising which is primarily financial gain. As an introduction to this topic students were required to think outside the box and randomly mash two brands together. Some students opted for a random generator while others forced two brands they had in mind. The next task required students to be a little more deliberate in their approach whereby they strategically formed a partnership with two brands. These collaborations are considered to be a match made in marketing heaven. Here is a snap shot of student work taken from both these tasks.
