Subject confirmation - GRAD Start (Year 11-12) and VCE Start (Year10-11)

Final subject confirmation will be dependent on 2021 results and participation in the start-up programs. Year 10 and 11 Students will be provided a timetable for their VCE and Grad Start programs during their final exams. This timetable will include the subjects selected at their interviews. This week of introduction and preparatory work will enable students to confirm they are happy with their selections.

Additional interviews will be scheduled for those students whose 2021 results do not meet the pre requisites for automatic promotion. The school wants to ensure that every student is provided with a program that matches the individuals’ pathway aspirations and encourages growth and ensures success.

VET in School

2021 has provided VET providers with many challenges particularly in the delivery of practical assessments. As a result some programs have had to extend their delivery. Students need to take every opportunity provided to ensure that they complete the units of Competency for their VET program in 2021. The units and hours achieved in VET contribute to both VCE and VCAL certificates.

VET for 2022

Students will receive a letter of confirmation for their selected VET program for 2022 in the next week.

This letter will confirm the program, venue, time and cost for the program.

Students starting a new program in 2022 – first year students are required to attend a compulsory Orientation session on the 1 December. Times will be confirmed on the confirmation letter.

Career Action Plans

In the final few weeks of 2021, students in Years 7-10 will be working to register and complete their Career Action plans. The school will be using and new Department platform for this process. We would encourage families to discuss the Action plans with their students. Log on and have a look at the program.

Year 10 will be completing their plans in the week beginning the 15 November.

Years 7-9 will be in the following week 22 – 26 November.
