Level 4 Mapping our parks

Level 4 students were asked to go for a walk to their local park and take some paper and a pencil with them. They walked around the whole area and drew a bird’s eye view map of the park. Students marked all the main features on their maps such as playgrounds, buildings, walking paths, lakes, trees, benches, ovals and footy goals. They also needed to include a Compass rose, a title, a key and grid lines on their maps.
