From Principal Steve  - World Teachers' Day

Australia will celebrate and thank the teaching profession on World Teachers’ Day on Friday 29 October 2021.

Teachers, often in partnership with parents and carers, have ensured teaching and learning continues across the State this year, despite many challenges. These last two years have reinforced the significant role teachers play in the lives of students, their families, and our community.

Brighton Primary school acknowledges the outstanding work of its teaching staff. We know from research that the teacher is the number one influence on student learning in schools.

Friday 29th October is World Teachers' Day and we want to acknowledge and celebrate the outstanding contribution our teachers have made this year.

To our teachers: Thank you! In particular, thank you for your professionalism and ‘can do’ attitude over the last two years in what has been an unprecedented time in the teaching profession with remote learning and school closures. Your ability to focus on what matters and truly innovate has been outstanding.

In addition to our teaching staff, Brighton Primary also acknowledges the support and professionalism of our hard working support staff - from our teacher aides through to our administrative support staff. Every one of you work incredibly hard to support teaching and learning.

Brighton Primary School will hold a morning tea this week to thank all of our staff while also celebrating their return to onsite school this week. Thank you also to Jan Browne, Emma O’Donohue and the PFC team for also acknowledging the outstanding work of our staff with a gift this week.
