Principal's Report

Dear Families,

Welcome to Term 4, not quite what we expected, but we are going through uncertain times. We certainly understand that Remote Learning is challenging for families, and we do have empathy for you. As always, we will do our best to support you. Please don’t hesitate to contact your child’s teacher if you have any concerns.

As yet, we do not know if the 7-day lockdown will end this week and if F-2 students will return to onsite learning. As soon as we have information, we will forward it to you via email.

Jenny Davey is currently on sick leave, we all wish her a speedy recovery. Shareena Pearce and Bree Giles are helping us out for the time being. We are certainly very appreciative of their support.

COLOUR RUN

In 2019 the Colour Run was a great success. Parents, teachers, and students had so much fun.

We plan to hold our Colour Run on Tuesday 16th November. The attached flier outlines the process. Proceeds from the fundraiser will be used to purchase texts for the classroom libraries both fiction and nonfiction as well as additional books for the take home reading scheme. We plan to involve the students in the selection of books that they would like to have in the school. Over the past 2 years our supply of reading materials has gradually been depleted.

OPTOMISTIC OCTOBER 2021

As a way of refocusing on the positive aspects of our lives perhaps you might like to follow one of these prompts for each day of October.

ONSITE SUPERVISION

If remote learning continues into next week and you require Onsite Supervision, please complete the Attendance Form. We do require Authorised Workers Permits for both parents so if you have supplied a copy already you do not need to resend them.

SCHOOL COUNCIL

Our first meeting for Term 4 will be held on Monday 25th October. I am fairly confident it will be another online meeting.

Enjoy your weekend,

Regards Heather
