Middle School News

End of Term 1

We have had a busy Term 1 in the Middle School and students have settled in well for the year. We ran an Elevate Education study seminar for both Year 9 and 10 students focusing on effective strategies to utilise to memorise curriculum content in their classes and also to prepare for the mid-year exams in June. We held a BBQ for the Year 9 students to acknowledge the work they’ve done so far this year. Thank you to the Year 9 Student Leaders who gave up their time to help run the BBQ with Miss O’Hara.

Alpine School

Applications for the Year 9 Alpine School experience have now closed and thank you to the students who have applied. It is an absolutely amazing experience. Applicants will be interviewed early in term 2 and the successful candidates notified.

New students lunch

Our new students and their new friends were invited to share a lunch to welcome them to MGSC. Over 30 new students have joined Middle School and it was great to for all to get to know each other in a relaxed setting.

Year 10 Work Experience

Placements should be finalised and students should be ready to start their work experience visit in early Term 3. We look forward to hearing about the exciting and interesting experiences our students will be involved in. We are also running an incursion for all Year 10 students run by the Fashionista Sisters to help them prepare for being in the workforce.

Year 9 Camp

This year the camp will be at  Anglesea from Wednesday 13 to Friday 15 June. Information will be distributed in Term 2.

We wish all students and their families and safe and relaxing break over the holidays and look forward to a busy term 2.
