Year 7-10 Parent/Teacher/Student interviews

The new date for the Year 7-10 Parent/Teacher/Student interviews is Monday 30 April.

 

We apologise for the inconvenience caused by the cancellation of the interviews on Tuesday, but there were some errors in the system which made it impossible to run these interviews effectively. We have contacted Compass and have been assured that this has been fixed.

 

Thursday 26 April

P/T/S bookings open for Year 7-10 parents at 3.30pm.

 

Monday 30 April

P/T/S bookings close for Year 7-10 parents at 9:30am.

Year 7-10 P/T/S interviews 1.30 – 8.00pm, dinner 5.00 to 6.00pm.

These interviews are for the parents of Year 7-10 students, including those Year 10 students doing a Unit 1 subject.  There are no scheduled classes on this day.

Winter Uniform 

In term 2, until the end of May, students can elect to wear the summer uniform or the winter uniform. From Friday 1 June only the winter uniform can be worn.   The elements of summer, winter and sports uniform cannot be mixed. The sport jacket is part of the Physical Education uniform and can only be worn during Physical Education and Sport lessons. The sport jacket is not to be worn with the summer or winter uniform.  All students are expected to wear their blazers to and from school and to all College assemblies.

Student accident insurance, ambulance cover arrangements and private property brought to school

Parents are reminded that the Department of Education does not provide personal accident insurance or ambulance cover for students. Parents and guardians of students, who do not have student accident insurance/ambulance cover, are responsible for paying the cost of medical treatment for injured students, including the cost of ambulance attendance or transport as well as any other transport costs.

Victorian Cladding Taskforce

The College's buildings and facilities have been reviewed by the Victorian Cladding Taskforce. Attached  is the official advise that no remedial action is required at MGSC. 

Crossing Supervisor 

Kingston Council have placed a Crossing Supervisor at the corner of Balcombe and Charman Roads. This intersection will now be supervised in the mornings and afternoons. All students should take care crossing roads and be observant of traffic when travelling to and from school.

Camps, Sport & Excursions Fund (CSEF)

The Victorian Government’s Camps, Sports & Excursions Fund (CSEF) is an annual payment to the school to be used towards camps, sports and/or excursion expenses for the benefit of eligible students.
