Debating at Mordialloc College

Interschool Debating Program
Congratulations to all students who took part in Round 4 of our Interschool Debating Program. It was fantastic to see the momentum building and four teams now step up to take on the next challenge. This round the topic was ‘This house believes that we should fear artificial intelligence.’ A big thanks also to our opposition who brought their A-game in the build up to finals and put forward some strong and resounding arguments – Mentone Girls Grammar, Haileybury College Castlefield Girls, Killester College and Haileybury College Castlefield Boys.

Well done to all and thank you to those parents who came along to support.
A final thanks to Mr Vicary who, although he couldn’t make this week because he was competing himself in the national debating championships, continued to provide support from afar. We look forward to his return in our coaching session this Friday.
If you are interested in getting involved and taking on the challenge yourself, please see Mr McConchie. All are welcome.
