OUR FAITH

PRAYER

Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with thee.

Blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.

Amen.

We pray ...

for all those loved ones who have gone to be with our heavenly Father, for the safe return of our Year 5 and Year 6 students, teachers and parents from their excursions, for all Year 12 students, in particular, the McCarthy Catholic College students as they undertake HSC exams and we pray for more desperately needed rain.

LITURGY NEWS

Today our Year 3, Year 4 and Year 6 attended Mass at St Nicholas Church at 9.30am for All Saints Day.

FEAST DAYS

All Saints Day - Friday 1st November

All Saints day is a day where we remember the holy men and women in our Church who lived lives that were dedicated to following God and living their faith through word and action. The life of Australia’s only Saint; Saint Mary of the Cross is a reminder to all of us on how we can pray to the saints for their intercession of our prayers and how we can follow their example of how to be a witness to our faith.

All Soul's Day - Saturday 2nd November

All Souls’ Day is traditionally the annual commemoration of the Faithful Departed. It is a time for our community to remember deceased family members and friends.

OCTOBER IS MISSION MONTH - Catholic Mission

This year’s Catholic Mission theme is 'Do not fear for I am with you.’ Isiah 41:10. Catholic Mission is asking that we join others throughout Australia to learn more about issues of mission and justice. Last Friday to support Catholic Mission Month our school raised awareness by taking off their shoes inside their learning spaces to stand in solidarity with others, particularly with the people in Ghana and the work of Sister Stan Therese Mumuni. More information about Catholic Mission can be found at
