Library News

The end of the term is fast approaching for our Year 12’s, and there are just a couple of reminders for them from the library.

For students who don’t have any exams, all resources should be returned to the library as soon as possible. Text books that are needed for exams can be kept until the day of the exam, and then these can be returned to the box provided in the exam room. It is very important that resources are returned before finally finishing up at school, because they are needed for the 2020 Year 12 Orientation Day. Invoices will be sent out for any outstanding items in Week 6.

We would like to wish the Year 12's all the best for their SWAT VAC and upcoming exams, and if there is anything we can do here in the library to help and support them during this time, please let us know.

The visit of Jackie French who will be speaking to the Year 5, 6 and 7 classes is also fast approaching, and we are looking forward to hearing from this wonderful author. This is happening in Week 5, in the Senior Library.

This is a good term for calendar events, with Halloween, Remembrance Day and Christmas all providing plenty of material for displays and book promotions.

As much as it is a busy term, I believe there should always be time made for a good book. If you are looking for a site which reviews and recommends books, Kirkus is a good place to start: https://www.kirkusreviews.com/

Happy reading!
