2020 S.R.C Team & Upcoming Events

In 2019, South Oakleigh College's Student Representative Council (SRC) had a very successful year hosting regular events, empowering student voice and continuing to establish their presence within the College Community.  After a re-structure of the Council's composition, our representatives worked very hard throughout the year to give back to the school community and help shape the direction of the College.  Memorable moments last year include our annual Harmony Day & Wellfest Week, the College’s first ever student-facilitated Yearbook and work towards creating a School Environmental Management Plan (SEMP).

 

It’s very exciting to see the continued growth and development of our student body, who are proud to represent students from all year levels and across all houses.  This year, our Council is divided into four teams: Campaigns, Student Voice, Enrichment and Sustainability. Throughout the course of the year, they will be contributing to the Oak News by sharing what they’ve been working on. Our SRC is becoming an ever-growing and integral part of our College.  Our leaders began planning for 2020 last year.  Some things to look out for throughout Term 1 include:

  • VicSRC Ambassador Reports
  • A comprehensive Enrichment Survey
  • Environmental initiatives
  • Student Opinion Surveys
  • Breakfast Club every Thursday at 8:00 am in the Canteen
