Music Performance
Year 9 Mainstage
Mainstage is a Year 9 performing arts elective where the students produce and perform a public concert. Sound, staging, promotion and performance are all led by the students. The students gave a lunchtime concert on Monday on to their friends and peers with a fabulous rendition of 'Valerie' made popular by Amy Winehouse. Congratulations to Ms Sarah Jacobs and her students.
Vocal Night
Thank you to Ms Blanka West and the participants in the Vocal Night in the Nina Carr Theatre on Wednesday 17 May. The concert is a showcase of song and singing by our choirs and vocal students.

StringFest
Seven string instrument students joined more than 70 students and teachers from different south-east Victoria schools for this year's SEVR StringFest at Brighton Secondary College.
The guest clinician, Christopher Kopke, Head of Strings at Genazzano F.C.I. College in Melbourne, led the day with incredible expertise. Chris is the current Conductor of the Heidelberg Symphony.
Chris selected five works for the large string orchestra this year: 'Double Agent' by Brian Balmages, 'Shake it Off' by Taylor Swift, 'Battle of the Bows', 'Spartacus' by Brian Balmages and 'Finn McCool' by Robert Buckley.
The progress over the course of the day was amazing. It really was an inspiring day of string playing. The experience of coming together for the day to rehearse as a large ensemble with a leading clinician was very beneficial to all.
