At St Augustine’s, we are very fortunate to have the space for a number of cars in our parking lot, a ‘kiss-and-go’ zone, and some street parking on Golf Links Road!

We understand that the afternoons can be very hectic, but we must put safety first.

This means that no parking is permitted on the grassed area at the end of the oval.

A few near misses have occurred recently which has prompted this reminder.

We thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Mrs. Emma Ramsamy

School Closure Day

Tuesday 13th June is a school closure day.

Our out of school hours care will be open on this day.

SRC Update

After surveying all students in the school on what makes them feel safe and what they would like to change, the SRC class reps and leaders decided to create posters as visual reminders for St As students on how to play safely and happily on the playground.

Last week we worked on these posters and were all excited when they were shared with our school community at our Assembly this week.

The posters have key messages to help everyone to LIVE, LOVE and LEARN well at

St As.

They are:

*We play fairly

*Be kind to yourself

*We help each other

*Kindness begins with me

*We are proud of our school

 *Everyone is special and unique

Thank you to our SRC Leaders, class reps, and school captains for giving up their playtime to work on these as a team.

School Uniform Update

The cold weather has definitely arrived and the full winter uniform is now to be worn.

Beanies with the school logo or plain navy are welcome to be worn outside during play. Please ensure they are clearly labelled.

Our school uniform items have all dropped to $5, with the exception of the winter spray jackets for $10!

Long Absences & Late Arrivals

Just a friendly reminder to please advise the school of student absences at your earliest convenience, either via email or the absence line. When leaving a message on the absence line, please include your name, the students name and classroom, along with the reason for the absence.

If your student arrives at school after the music has stopped playing, they will need to sign in at the office. We are happy to assist you and your children at the office with this.

This prevents us from sending you a clarification text. If you have a senior student please remind them they must come via the office to let us know they have arrived at school.

Extended absences for example holidays during term time need to be communicated with our principal, Mrs. Carrie Rodda. Please email her directly: principal@safranksth.catholic.edu.au
