Term 2 week 4
Dinosaurs and prehistoric times, Insects and Reptiles
Last week we focused on all things Dinosaurs! The children LOVED this theme and got amongst all of the activities. The theme this week was chosen following the interest we saw in this topic on our trip to the museum in the holidays!
This week was also mental health week, so some aspects of our program were be altered to accommodate for a yarning circle activity where we can sit down and chat together about what is important for us! We were very busy during Dinosaur week and made Dinosaur plates/ Paper mache volcano, Dinosaur Masks/ Salt dough fossils. On Wednesday for science we made a Volcano eruption. In cooking we made Fruity Dino feet and finished the week with the Ice Age Movie.
Following on from last weeks theme, we had a great interest in Reptiles and Insects!
This week we have made Q-tip butterfly’s, Sensory Bins and Critter Sounds
In Cooking we made Caterpillar Fruit Kebabs and on Thursday we loved our Reptile Yoga
and Caterpillar Races.
Next week we are gardening and planting.
There is a school closure day coming up on Tuesday 13th June following the Kings birthday public holiday.
We will be running a full day program on that day. Bookings are open now through the Hubhello Parent portal.
