Tell Them From Me Survey

Parents are invited to complete the Tell Them From Me (TTFM) Partners in Learning survey. As we value the role of parents and carers within our school community we would greatly appreciate your feedback. The information you provide will be used to maintain our commitment to working together in partnership to further improve student learning and wellbeing at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Primary School Caringbah.

 

The survey is anonymous and will take approximately 20 minutes to complete. The survey is to be completed by one parent/carer per family. We hope all families are able to complete this survey. Surveys will be available from Thursday 1st June and are to be completed by Friday 16th June 2023Students in Years 4-6 will be completing the Student Survey component.

Staff Development Day Reminder

This a reminder that there is a Staff Development Day on Tuesday, 13th June, 2023

School Photo makeup day

Our school photo makeup day is next week on Wednesday, 7th June 2023.  This is for a small number of students and family groups who may have been absent on our photo day earlier in the term.  These students should arrive at school dressed in full winter uniform for the day, no sports uniforms.

Semester One Reports and Parent Teacher Interviews

Semester One student reports will be published in Week 9 via COMPASS.

Parents, this is a special time for you to praise the efforts of your child for the school year. The level of effort a child puts into their work is important to acknowledge in addition to the level of performance grade awarded. Praise this where appropriate.

 

Parent-teacher interviews to discuss your child’s Semester One report can be scheduled via the COMPASS portal. Interviews will take place in Week Ten on  Wednesday 28th June commencing at 12.00pm - 6.30pm.

The interviews are 10 minutes in duration.

Students from Years 3 to 6 are invited to attend the interview.

The interview booking schedule will be available for parents via COMPASS from Monday 19th June.

Reconciliation Morning Tea

Today our Indigenous Students and families gathered to share a Reconciliation Morning Tea in the Mercy Library.   Prayer was followed by some Leaders from Year 6 sharing their Passion Project on their Aboriginal Culture.

 

Thank you to all who were able to join us. 

School Supervision

There are many students arriving at school early in the morning prior to school supervision which commences at 8.20am. Parents, please be aware that if your child arrives on the premises very early in the morning that there is no adult available for any safety concerns. We encourage all students to arrive at school during supervision times.     

Mobile phones and Smart Watches/ Communication with Parents

Students are reminded to leave their mobile phones and smart watches at the office in the morning before school commences and to collect them at the end of the school day. 

 

Parents, please remind your child that they are not to email you via their device during the school day. This is stated in the Technology Agreement signed by parents and students at the beginning of the school year. 

 

If your child is not well or if there is a change to dismissal procedures you and your child will be informed by the school office.

Safety- Dogs on School Premises

Parents, please be reminded that dogs are not allowed on the school site. For the safety of our students, can parents please ensure that their pets are not at the entrance of school gates or oval gates and are closely supervised on walkways around the school site. 

Please do not encourage children to touch or play with your dog.

School Uniform

Parents, please ensure that your child is coming to school wearing the correct winter uniform. This includes boys wearing long sleeve shirts with long pants/shorts, grey socks and black school shoes.  Girls are to wear their winter tunic/navy pants with navy socks or tights and black school shoes.

 

The school’s sports uniform is only to be worn on scheduled sports days. Students are to wear white or black sports shoes with white sports socks.
