Position Available

We currently have a part-time cleaning role available and are inviting expressions of interest. Days and times will be determined in conjunction with the Cleaning Supervisor, but applicants must be available for Monday and Friday afternoon shifts. The role will involve a minimum of 12 hours per week.

Transition to Summer Uniform

As we move into Spring, we have a transition period between our winter and summer uniforms.

From the beginning of Week 9 of Term 3 (7 September) through until the end of Week 2 of Term 4 (16 October), we will be in the transition period for the wearing of uniform. In this period, students may choose to wear either their full summer or winter uniform, depending upon weather conditions (students are not permitted to wear a combination of both).

From the beginning of Week 3, Term 4 (19 October) all students will be required to wear their full summer uniform. Please note school hats are to be worn during Term 4 and Term 1.

Normal requirements for sports uniform continue throughout the entire year.

The way in which the School uniform is worn has a strong influence on how we feel about ourselves and the ways in which we are viewed by others. Every student’s standard of dress and grooming is expected to reflect well on both the individual and the School as a whole. Please familiarise yourself with these expectations which are outlined in the school handbook on the website.

Construction Update - from the Echuca-Moama Bridge Project

We’re on track to complete all the pile foundations for the new bridges over the Murray and Campaspe rivers in the coming weeks. We’ll then start forming the piles caps and piers for the bridges and the two flood relief structures in Victoria and NSW.

What we’re doing and when

Stage 3

In Echuca and Moama, we’ll:

continue piling works
start building the pile caps and piers for the bridges
continue bringing soil and construction materials into Victoria Park for the bridges and approach embankments.

Stage 4

In Moama we’ll:

continue relocating Moama’s raw water supply mains and underground electrical and communication services near Meninya Street, Perricoota and Boundary roads.

All works will take place from 7am to 6pm, Monday to Friday and 7am to 1pm, Saturday.

The timing of these works may change depending on weather and site conditions. Some works may need to be undertaken out-of-hours. If this needs to happen, we’ll let you know in advance.

What to expect

Evening works

We’re installing the bridge foundations on both sides of the Murray River, including pouring large volumes of concrete.

Due to the colder weather we’re experiencing, and the volume of concrete, these pours require a later starting time and we’ll need to extend our normal working hours to 11.30pm in the early part of September.

There’ll be concrete trucks, light vehicles, concrete pumps and concrete compactors operating from 6.00pm to 9.30pm. From 9.30pm to 11.30pm we’ll undertake quieter activities using handheld tools such as trowels to smooth off the concrete.

You may hear some low-level noise coming from the Victoria Park boat ramp area in Echuca and near Boundary Road in Moama where our work sites are located. We’ll monitor noise and air quality to ensure we keep impacts to a minimum.

Traffic changes

To build your new bridges we need to deliver construction materials and heavy machinery to building sites in Victoria Park and near the Moama Marketplace.

You’ll notice more trucks and light utility vehicles on local roads, as well as changes to some parking zones. Some access points into Victoria Park (including via Scenic Drive) and at the end of Crofton Street may be closed from time to time during busy construction periods.

Please take extra care when driving, cycling or walking near these busy areas and observe any traffic management and directional signage in place.

Safety our key priority

The Echuca-Moama Bridge Project is a critical state infrastructure project under Stage 3 restrictions, allowing work to continue with strict health and safety measures in place.

Safety measures across the site include additional protective equipment including masks, daily staff, worker and visitor health and temperature screening, enhanced cleaning, staggered shifts and break times, and physical distancing.
