Principal's News

Dear Families and Friends,

A big thank you to all members of our community for the fantastic attitude and postive approach to Term 3.  It has been challenging for everyone on many different levels but our community has really supported each other and rallied together to remain postive and upbeat. Once again the staff would like to thank all families for the welcomed feedback and many messages of gratitude which they have received over the term and year.

It was uplifting on Tuesday to join the middle school Dance Party. Smiling faces and great rhythm  was clearly on display. This week, as enthusiasm for school work has wanned, teachers have tried to include lots of fun activities like Kahoot, Drawing classes, Scavenger Hunts and Trivia into the week. I look forward to watching the Senior school's "Masked Performances."

Term 4 Priorities

School will begin in Term 4 for all students on 5th October (Remotely). On the 12th October Prep-2 will commence onsite and all remote learning for Prep-2 will cease.

We wait patiently and enthusiastically for the release of dates for Year 3-6 to return onsite.

As we begin planning for Term 4 there will be 4 main priorties:

  1. Wellbeing for students and staff - to        re-establish friendships and relationships and offer support
  2. Literacy and Numeracy
  3. Ensuring students are physically active
  4. Helping every student prepare for 2021 with a sense of purpose and optimism

We have also been advised that you will receive an end of year report but again it will different to usual. I will provide more details during Term 4.

I am aware that our senior students are anxious to know whether school camp will go ahead and for the Year 6's, what Graduation will look like for them. The regulations around this, as well as excursions and swimming, have not been released yet and will probably not be availble till the beginning of Term 4. I am assuming the Government is waiting for the Covid numbers to drop before decisions are made. I will provide details when I receive them.

Trinity Times

Thanks Finn for putting this together. It was great to see Alfie Jordan again as we havent seen him at Trinity all term and miss him.

Staff News

We congratulate  Lucy O'Dea our Prep/1 teacher who has announced she is expecting babies! Yes TWINS!!

Whole School Assembly

We have planned a whole school assembly for this Friday at 1pm to celebrate the term and get the community together. Our school leaders will run this. If you would like to join us, please email your class teacher for the Zoom link or the link will be released on your child's Google Classroom and Seesaw on Friday.

Trinity School Song

Late last year Trinity and St Matthew's Fawkner enjoyed a Music collaboration day where students worked on a Trinity School Song.

We haven't been together much this year to sing it, but moving forward it will be a regular part of our assemblies and gatherings.

Thank you Miss Belinda for putting this together to promote our Trinity School Song. It will be shared at tomorrow's School Assembly.

Again a big thank you to our wonderful school community for the support and strength displayed during this very challenging term. We can't wait to greet you all in person next term and experience that true Trinity community spirit again.

Enjoy the break and see you in October.

Lindy
