Western Australian Selection for Jasmin Collins

The John XXIII College Rowing Club wishes to congratulate Jasmin Collins, on her selection as the Western Australian State Pathway Eight Girl’s Coxswain.

A very well-deserved honour for Jasmin as a Year 10 student who has only just crossed over to the coxswain seat in recent months. Jasmin will be travelling to Penrith, Sydney on Friday 13 April returning to Perth on Tuesday 17 April and will competing against other states for Australian selection. If successful, the crew will follow on to represent Australia at the Junior World Titles later this year.

New Zealand Rowing Tour

Next January we will be taking all Year 11 and 12 rowers to New Zealand on a Rowing Tour. We will endeavour to compete in the Canterbury Championships at Lake Ruataniwha, Twizel. It will be the first time our rowers will have had an opportunity to take part in such an event outside of Australia and what better group of students to do it with.

If any current Year 10 or 11 students would like to join the Rowing Club, there is no better time to start than now, to be ready to take on New Zealand’s best school aged rowers in 2019.
