NCSS CHALLENGE 2016

The second challenge of the year from NCSS has just finished and McKinnon has some students who have once again performed extremely well. The following students deserve a special mention:

 

Newbies Level

  • Karleen Han and Michael Yang (Year 7) who both achieved a perfect score.

Beginner Level

  • Ben Ayzelman, Vishiwahren BSM, Jack DOYLE, Samuel LEE, Justin LIM, Valikhon SHARIPOV, Ben SHEWANAdvait TANNA and Peter TOMARAS  (Year 10) who all achieved a perfect score of 320.
  • Jacob Georgantas (Year 8) who achieved the perfect score of 320;
  • Michelle Gu (Year 7) - the youngest participant at this level and who gained a score of 318;
  • Josh Kaper, David Kupshik and Jack Mills (Year 9) who all gained a perfect score of 320.

Intermediate Level

  • Alex Boul, Joshua Boul and Braydon Ross (Year 10) and Edward Lay (Year 11) who all achieved a perfect score.

MINECRAFT

The Code Club at McKinnon has successfully managed to get the newly released Microsoft Edition of Minecraft up and running.

This popular open world game that helps students develop creativity, collaboration and problem-solving skills is currently running for Year 7 and 8 students in A3 on Monday lunchtimes. Any Year 7s or 8s who are interested in being part of this project should contact Mr Munro.
