END OF TERM

What an amazing fortnight we have had in the lead up to the end of term.

THANK YOU

As we reach the end of term, we thank Ms Catherine Oxworth and Ms Phillipa Edwards for the outstanding work that they have done replacing Mr West either as an instrumental teacher or as bandleader.  Both staff and students appreciate the way that you have both stepped in and taken responsibility for the development of the program and the students musicality.  Thank you also to Ms Russo and Ms Rogerson for their increase in time fraction to help cover Mr West’s students.

MUNCH THEN MUSIC

Congratulations to Karleen Han, Mimi Bernstein, Alice Pfeiffer, Sally Park and Yael Zamir who took part in the final Munch then Music for Term 3 on Friday 9 September. The musical standard was extremely high and the camaraderie was highly evident.  Thank you to Mr Kurowski for his ongoing organisation of this event.

EARLY LEARNING CENTRE EXCURSION

Congratulations to Kate Collier, Jordan Kellaway and Elizabeth Tsagliotis who performed at the Good Start Early Learning Centre on Thursday 15 September.  It was a great demonstration of passion for music and how to be involved in the community. 

YEAR 12 CELEBRATION NIGHT

Join the VCE Music Performance class of 2016 in a night of celebration on Thursday 15 September at 7:00pm in the Theatre. This night will be a fantastic night of solos, duos, small groups and the final whole class performance to help celebrate their passion for music and their development as musicians. We wish the students well with their upcoming exams, auditions and future music careers and thank them for all they have contributed to the music program throughout their time at McKinnon.

REMINDER

To all instrumental students that with the holidays starting Friday afternoon, the Music Centre will be closing at 4:00pm. All students need to pick up their instruments before this time so that they can practice over the break, especially those that have exams coming up.
