Year 11 VCE News

Final day of Aspirations Program - 26th July

Aspirations is designed to familiarise high school students with a modern workplace and equip them with the skills to get there.

Eighteen Year 11 VCE students participated in the program which involved eight sessions. Thank you to ABCN and Fuji Xerox for enabling the program to occur.

FIT2DRIVE Launch

At MCC we were lucky enough to get invited to speak at many different events and on the 18/7 our Year 11 students were invited to speak at the launch for the ‘Arthurs Seat Challenge’ https://arthursseatchallenge.com.au held on the 11/11/2018. The ASC raises funds for the FIT2Drive program to ensure that students across the state and especially down the Mornington Peninsula are educated on the importance of being prepared as a driver, passenger, pedestrian, friend, family member and community member to avoid unnecessary road trauma.

This experience that is provided to the students was excellent, not only did they get to speak about the impact that the program has had on them personally, but also the importance of spreading the message of safety and appropriate decision making during vulnerable and impressionable times.

I would like to thank Sarah Garnier, Caitlin Mitchell, Anthony Tanevski for their preparation for the event, as well as Mr Sam Watson for taking time out of his busy day to drive the students to this very worthy event.
