Dylan Roberton returned to McClelland

Ex-McClelland student Dylan Roberton returned to McClelland today. He spent time with ex teachers and current students talking to them about life as an AFL footballer. We are always happy to hear from ex-students and hear about what they are doing with their lives post McClelland. Dylan was very generous with his time and we wish him all the best with the Saints in 2019!

Thank you

I would like to thank all members of our school community for your support this term so far. It has been a very busy term academically, culturally and sporting wise and we have had much to celebrate in all areas. In the last edition of COG I discussed the School Review which is currently in pre review self evaluation stage whereby we are evaluating our progress against the stated goals and targets set four years ago. The next stage involves ensuring we get input from the school community including from parents, students and staff. Everything we do at McClelland is about giving each and every one of our students the best possible opportunities.

Sayonara Kariyakita High School

Recently we had the pleasure of receiving our Sister School visitors from Kariyakita High School for the very first time. Our Sister School visit would not have been possible without the support of our homestay families who helped ensure their stay was a memorable one.

Thanks once again to the Japanese Team for all their hard work in preparation and coming in for two Sundays. Having spent some time with the Principal of Kariyakita HS this week, I am confident that this visit will now form a part of their biennial cycle so that each year students and staff will have an opportunity to connect with their sister school friends. I am also really pleased to see the support shown  by our non Japanese teachers to be involved in the event. I saw at the farewell ceremony how much impact the homestay and school experience on students, staff and families. It is fair to say there were many tears as our visitors were leaving. Thank you very much for all of those involved for supporting their visit.
