Year 10 News

Congratulations to Osman Haji who has been selected from over 40 schools to represent Glen Eira College at the Melbourne Computing Summer Camp. I hope you thoroughly enjoy your stay at The University of Melbourne learning from professionals in the fields of cyber security, robotics and engineering.

A big thank you to all Year 10s who attended the Anglesea surfing camp. The feedback from both the campsite and from the surf instructors was immensely positive. Your attitude and behaviour was exemplary and serves as a boon to the Glen Eira community. Thank you!

Last but not least, a very big thank you to the entire Year 10 cohort. You have made my time as a coordinator a thoroughly enriching and enjoyable experience - it has been a pleasure to get to know each and every one of you. I wish you all the very best for 2019!

Year 11 News

What a year! The Year 11s now have a taste of the study commitments and dedication that is required of them to succeed in VCE. While I hope they are enjoying their holidays and recovering from exams at present, they need to be using this time wisely preparing for their final year of study!

There has been a real buzz amongst the cohort over the last couple of weeks as we had some amazing School Captain speeches delivered by four very impressive candidates: Sean Kelly, Ashley Harris, Taylor Lowrey and Sierra Danon. The confidence to get up in front of their peers and deliver some hard hitting and well thought of speeches was great to see.

Once the voting was tallied, the final result ended with your two 2019 School Captains being Sierra Danon and Sean Kelly. The vice captains will be Taylor Lowrey and Ashley Harris. Massive congratulations to all and we are very confident you will be able to handle all the responsibilities that come with being a School Captain.

Rest up Year 11s! One more big year ahead.
