It was terrific to see many families attend the Welcome Picnic last Thursday 7th Feb and the Beginning of Term Mass on Friday 8th Feb.

We were lucky the rain held off for the picnic and I thank everyone for attending and supporting these types of evenings.

I am currently visiting the Year 4 campers and staying overnight. Everyone is happy and having a great time!

Year 6 students, Miss Biggs, Mrs Ferguson, Mr Martello and Tegan will leave for Canberra early next Tuesday morning - they can't wait!

We are looking forward to seeing lots of photos and hearing their stories from both camps.

Community Conversations - Term 1

We would like to invite you to a Community Conversation morning tea to hear your thoughts on Galilee in a scope of areas.

In Term 4 2018, there were a number of suggestions made by parents on how to make our great school greater. Those who attended that meeting are strongly encouraged to come along again, as well as any other parents in our school community that are interested . It is an opportunity to share the ideas from 2018 and also some of actions we have initiated as a result of the meeting.

We will have an informal conversation. The main purpose is the sharing of  responses from the last meeting and seeing where we are heading with other actions that are being put in place for 2019.

Having our parent’s input is important, so please join us on Monday 18th March from 9-10am in the Hall for a morning tea and discussion.

Please RSVP your attendance to Carmen Carnovale on ccarnovale@gsmelbournesth.catholic.edu.au

Starlight Foundation Super Swim - Mr Coaley Needs Your Help

At the beginning of the school year, Mr Coaley set the goal of swimming 50km before the end of February. Before leaving for camp yesterday, he had already accumulated a total of 28.6km - swimming 1,144 laps. He has just under two weeks to swim the remaining 21.4km.

He is raising money for the Starlight Foundation - money that goes directly towards helping sick children in hospital. If you would like to donate towards his swimming, you can at the following link:
