YEAR 12 CAMP

Early this month, the year 12s went to Phillip Island for a study camp. Although the camp was called a study camp, there was no real studying other than a career seminar, Elevate and a motivational speaker. Most of the camp was spent doing exciting activities such as the flying fox, the giant swing, laser tag and archery.

My favourite part of the camp activities-wise was the flying fox. It was quite amusing to watch everyone run the rope back up, although, personally, running the rope back was not a highlight. The giant swing was also very entertaining and without a doubt a favourite among the year level.  Laser tag was also interesting mostly because my activity group was a little lost on where the activity was located. Thankfully once the group found the activity it was very fun and worthwhile.

My highlight overall on camp was being able to share a cabin with my closest friends. It was enjoyable to be able to get ready together and stay up late just talking. To be honest, although we were meant to be asleep, the light-out rule was not followed. The camp was undeniably a rollercoaster of emotions which ended up being a great bonding experience. It was incredibly eventful with something always happening and everyone supporting each other.

Overall, the camp was incredibly enjoyable and a great short break from the chaos of Year 12.
