Story Dogs

Story Dogs is a fun and unique reading support program that we run at St John's that improves children's reading and communication skills by children reading to an accredited companion dog and its handler. 

Selected students spend approximately 20 minutes with the Story Dog team once per week reading books which are appropriate to their reading level. During the session, Rosie is on her lead and her handler volunteer, Bride is with her at all times.

The children love to say hello to Rosie and sit and read to her. Rosie is just beautiful and loves coming to our school. Story Dogs has been running in Australia since 2009. St John's also raises money and makes a donation to support the wonderful work that Story Dogs do each year.
