Gardening

This month in Gardening we have started to enjoy the cooler weather and return of the rain to the garden.

We received a very special gift of some Monarch Butterfly Chrysalis. The children were mesmerised by their beauty as they transformed into butterflies, which were released back into the garden.

We have been munching on the last of the summer crops such as cucumbers, tomatoes, beans and zucchinis. Summer crops are starting to come out now as we make space for new plantings such as garlic, carrots, salad greens, sweet peas and flowers. The figs are slowly ripening.

Students have created their very own nature journals to practice mindfulness and record observations in the garden.
