Wellbeing Team News

Hello! I’m Chris, a new Wellbeing Team member here at the college, and I’m heaps excited to work with the school community here!  I love coming to work because I feel like I’m making a difference with the awesome teams of staff here and can help give students the best start possible in and after their high school years.

Working through some of my own challenges over the past few years and getting to a better place, is the reason I entered this field, and I hope I can serve students to do the same.  I’m insanely approachable and friendly, and love to meet new faces – so don’t hesitate to say G’day when you see me floating around!

Hi all,

My name is Fafo, and I am your new School Chaplain, I am very excited to be here and looking forward to what is instore for Hampton Park Secondary College this year. I am hoping to be an integral part of the Well-being team, supporting and assisting students and staff throughout the year. My past experience has allowed me to work with young people from different backgrounds and in different settings. I am full Samoan, born and raised in New Zealand, moved here in my teens. I really enjoy my music, sports, movies, art, culture and food!! It’s a pleasure to meet you all.

A big thank you to Big W Fountain Gate who has provided Hampton Park Secondary with a huge amount of donations over the last 2 years. We are grateful for all the items we have received and the support that this provides to students.

Over the last two years we have been lucky enough to receive novels, stationary , games, craft items and so much more. These donations have allowed us to run lots of programs , activities and provide students in need with their basic school items.

Eat Up!

Eat up is an Australian organisation that provides meals and food donations  to schools, we would like to thank Eat up for supporting our community by providing us with cheese sandwiches and fruit.

From grassroots beginnings, Eat Up is now Australia's only organisation providing free lunches for students on a national scale. Our sustainable approach is thanks to ongoing donations of bread, snacks and materials. Volunteers and donations have been key to our growth, from supporting 20 regional Victorian schools in 2014, to now reaching 600+ schools in NSW, NT, QLD, VIC and WA.

Eat up’s donations allow us to provide breakfast to all of our students. Students are always welcome to attend breakfast club on Tuesdays , Wednesdays and Thursdays from 8.15am – 8.45am  and have a meal or take items to have later on.
