Year 9 Morrisby Careers Profiling

TUESDAY 14TH MARCH

All Year 9 students will undertake Morrisby Careers Profiling which is part of the My Career Insights Program provided free by the Department of Education for Year 9 students in Government Secondary Schools. This will help students to find out about what skills and abilities they could bring to a job and to find out about what jobs match their abilities, interests and personality, and the subjects they need for these jobs.

This will take place in the Year 9 CONNECT class on Tuesday 14th March, during periods 1, 2 and into recess if needed. Students will need computers to complete the online profiling which takes between 1 and a half to two hours to complete. They will need to complete a series of online questions and quizzes in this session.

We will have a practice session on Tuesday March 7th the week before in one period of CONNECT. In Term 2 they will have a 30-minute interview with a trained Morrisby Career Practitioner who will explain the results to the student. The student will also receive a written report explaining their results from the questions and quizzes, and possible jobs that match their abilities, interests and personality.

Students will also have lifelong online access to their Morrisby account, so that they can revise and update their career plan. Could Year 9 Parents/Guardians please consent through the COMPASS Portal for this event as soon as possible

If you are having problems accessing the COMPASS Portal, please contact the Administration Office for assistance.
