Northern Division Swimming

On Monday March 1, nineteen St Raphael’s students headed to Northcote Aquatic Centre to represent the school in the Northern Division Swimming Carnival. We faced some difficult competition on the day, but all students represented the school proudly. Of particularly note was the performance of our U11 girls relay team who came first and will now proceed to the Northern Region Championships. This was an outstanding achievement from the four girls who make up this team; Niamh Ryan, Ella Lamanna, Odessa D’Lasselle and Rebecca Beninati. Rebecca also put in a terrific performance in the U11 girls butterfly to sweep past the rest of the field and win. Again Rebecca now graduates through to the Northern Region Championships in this event also. Congratulations to all four girls and good luck! 

Melbourne Victory Soccer Program

We have been very fortunate to have Bella, one of the Melbourne Victory coaches, come out to St Raphael’s both this week and last week. Bella is taking the Year 3 to 6 students through a range of soccer drills during their PE lessons over these two weeks.

Cross Country Trials

Cross country trials for Years 3 - 6 will be taking place down at Zwar Reserve next Friday March 26 from 1pm. This is an event that every Year 3 - 6 student is expected to participate in. Even if they walk! Keep your eye out for an Operoo permission slip that will be coming out shortly.
