Parish News - St Nicholas Church

To The Year 11 and 12 Male Students at MCC,

On Saturday morning, 20 March, with the support of Fr. Chris, men from St Nicholas parish have organised a Catholic Men’s Gathering here at McCarthy Catholic College.

Two of Australia’s outstanding Catholic laymen will lead a program that deals with the issues which concern Catholic men of all ages. Short CVs of Robert Falzon and Patrick Grabauer are in the attached invitation. We have heard them both and can assure you they are not to be missed.

The overall theme is “ What does it mean to be an authentic Christian Man in today’s world?”

  • What am I here for, and what is my purpose
  • How do I become what God made me for?
  • How do I handle the big issues in my life? Relationships, work pressures, mental health, sexuality, values..... and anything else you want to raise.

In one morning solutions can’t be given to every situation but you will leave with tools to help you on your journey.

So please join us for breakfast on Saturday 20th March. Your father and brothers are most welcome too. Saturday morning can be busy with sport or work shifts. So if you have to leave early, we understand. Students will come as our guests at no charge.

Wishing you every blessing,

Patrick Mahony - Organising Committee
