When she is not eating her breakfast on the run or studying for her Masters, Larissa enjoys playing with her two dogs by the beach.

Faith

Jesse likes cooking, board games and weekends away with his young family.

Celia team-teaches with Emma in Unit CE. She started part time teaching in 2019 after her maternity leave. She has a three and a half year old little girl called Kowhai. Her name is from Celia’s Maori heritage. It is the name of a native New Zealand tree that has beautiful yellow flowers.  Kowhai is also the name given to the colour yellow.

Martin is in his 2nd year as part of the community at BNWPS and teaching the Grade 1/2 Juniors. Martin is passionate about teaching literacy and loves seeing students develop into seeing themselves as confident readers and writers as the year progresses. Outside of school Martin loves spending time on the coast and in the ocean, as well as collecting music and going to live shows.

Emma feels very lucky to work alongside Celia teaching Unit CE. Outside of school, Emma is a mum to two young boys and she loves going on lots of fun adventures with them.

Alice feels very lucky to be the Team Leader of the Junior school. She has been working at the school since she was 19 (starting in OSHC). When Alice is not at work, she loves to go on long walks with her whippet Elkie, read True Crime books and binge watch The Great British Bake off.

Chris new to the Junior team in 2021- he has come from the Foundation team and has taught many of the students all the way up to year 5! Chris first came to BNWPS in his 2nd year of my teaching degree and he spent time in Hannah’s class as a student teacher! Chris has a small, affectionate, sandwich hunting dog named Poppy, who occasionally will come into school with Chris. Outside of school, Chris loves running, video games, cooking and making things in the kitchen.

Lisa is in her third year teaching grade 1/2s. She has been lucky enough to be part of the BNWPS community since 2017 (she previously worked at OSHC). Lisa has Vietnamese heritage, and can speak the language fluently. Outside of school, Lisa enjoys listening to crime documentary podcasts, eating a delicious bowl of phô and exploring new cafes around Melbourne.

Kate is a teacher in Year 3 in 2021. Some of you may know that Kate is also one of the Literacy Leaders of our school and is presently assisting with looking after our lovely little library. When Kate is not at school, she enjoys cuddling her cat (Claude), playing tennis, writing, reading for her two book clubs, board games, trivia and a role playing group.

Nici is part of the current Year 3 team. Nici loves swimming at the beach and looking at shells. She also likes music and dancing, photography and film.

Tim has a big fluffy dog and leads a big fluffy life.

Lori is a member of the Grade 3 team and team leader. Lori loves making art, bushwalking, learning the Italian language and walking her dog Piccola. Lori would love you to drop in and say hello.

Upper Middles Team
Upper Middles Team

The Upper Middles teaching team bring a range of passions and interests to their work as educators. Here are a few things you may like to know about each of them.

Bianca is an animal lover and enjoys many aspects of Italian language and culture (but for some reason not coffee).

If Rebecca is on the couch reading a good book, DO NOT INTERRUPT HER! You have been warned.

Bell is an avid crafter, who loves filling her classroom with the whacky and wonderful creations her student's make. Pet rocks anyone? We've got plenty.

Ann although kind and calm in the classroom is a mean machine at the gym. Treadmills quake in fear whenever she is near.

Mathematical whiz Jessie loves nothing more than a barbecue and a game of footy. Carn!

Tom’s internal make-up is straightforward, when considered in fractions. He’s approximately one half soccer, one half music.

Deb loves her French Mastiff called Ila, and eating Crunchy Easter Eggs at all times of the year.

Michael loves going to the park with his daughter, Ruby, and beating children at basketball during recess.

Jenny loves going on bush adventures with her kelpie, Shadow, and eats too much chilli.

Tune in next week to meet more of our amazing School Staff!
