Cyber Safety

Keeping your children safe

Each newsletter this term we will be sharing with you the wide range of resources and supports that exist for families to keep their children cyber safe.

As parents and carers, you face the incredibly difficult task of balancing demands to access technology and social media with the concerns of supervision and keeping your children safe.

We are only a few weeks away from a really important parent information evening to help you keep your child safe in this space.

'Cyber Safety: Raising Kids in a Digital World' will be delivered by cyber safety experts Martin and Carley McGauran on Wednesday the 24th November at 6:30pm.

Martin and Carley will work all year levels during the day, before starting the parent session. This approach to educating and supporting the whole community worked really well at the start of the year when we ran our sessions on Sex and Relationships education with Vanessa Hamilton so we will be replicating it for this similarly important issue.

We will share details on how to register for the session closer to the time but please put the evening into your diaries now.

Before this SKiPPS session, there is also a wealth of other resources and webinars available for parents to help their children navigate this new world. The Federal Government e-Safety commissioner hosts a number of great videos and live webinars for parents. Below are a few that are coming up soon.
