A Message from the Principal

Mrs Pauline Long

Dear Parents and Carers,

The Skipping Showcase

Our skipping showcase was an outstanding success and the students really enjoyed displaying their skills to the whole school. I was thrilled to see the improvement in all students' skills and the fun they had.

Book Parade & Book Fair

Amazing costumes, smiling students and many books purchased! What a fun day last Thursday was at St Joey’s. Thanks to our parents for your part in creating the outstanding costumes and a special mention to Kate Thompson for her excellent organisation of the Book Fair.

Parent Teacher Interviews

Our teachers are keen to meet with all parents/carers to discuss your child’s learning growth for this semester however, due to the current restrictions you are not able to meet in person. We have decided to have phone interviews instead so we ask that you book through Compass just like you have booked face to face interviews in the past. Teachers will be explaining your child’s report and our plans for next year. Over the past few days I have been reading each child's report and I am excited with the learning growth of every student in our school. I encourage all parents/carers to book a slot for your phone interview.

School Survey Results

Thank you to the parents/carers who completed the recent School Satisfaction Survey. The responses were overwhelmingly positive and your suggestions for improvement help us to plan for the future. As the last two years have restricted parents coming into the school one of our focus areas next year will be to strengthen partnerships between home and school. We will be providing many opportunities for parents to become more involved in your child's learning. I encourage all parents/carers to contact your child’s teacher if you have any concerns about your child’s education. Together we can achieve great things!

2022 Staff

I am pleased to announce our staff for next year. We are fortunate to have consistency in staffing as each staff member contributes something special to our school team. I would like to acknowledge the support of the Catholic Schools Office to enable us to have a separate Kinder class; which will be taught by our very talented Miss Pilgrim.
