The Victorian MTB Schools Race Returns for 2022!
Falls Creek is excited to once again host the Victorian Schools MTB Event. This fun and inclusive XCO race is aimed at school children from Grade 3 - Grade 12. It is a great opportunity for students to challenge themselves and their friends in a safe and professionally managed race environment, whatever their ability. Our purpose made singletrack provides a challenge for all levels!
The event will feature a shorter junior course and a longer, more demanding senior course for older riders. The straightforward XCO (Olympic Cross Country) format races means everyone can have a go and enjoy racing. Registrations will open in early December, with prices still fixed at 2020 levels ($35 per rider). Entry fee includes AusCycling race insurance, a snack lunch, race plate, timing, medical cover, and medals for the winners!
On-mountain, school-group friendly accommodation providers will offer events specials for those coming from further afield. Put Friday the 25th of February 2022 into your diary, and start getting your school team prepared!
Please note that the Lions Club will not be hosting their annual Carols By Candlelight this year.
Mt Beauty Swim Club welcomes new and returning swimmers. Training in the pool will be Mon & Wed from 430pm. Groupings and training times determined by qualified coaches.

Pool opens 19/11 - first in the pool and ‘Come & Try’ training sessions are on Monday 22/11 & Wednesday 24/11 from 430pm.
Woolworths Blast Cricket Program
Is your child aged between approximately 5 to 10 years of age, and keen on playing cricket in a fun and social way? The Mount Beauty Woolworths Blast cricket program will be running on Fridays after school in December, end of January and in February, for boys and girls of all abilities. Thanks to fundraising efforts by the cricket club, we can offer the program for $25 a player (fees are usually $99 a child). JUNIOR CRICKET COACHING by former Victorian cricketer and Level 3 Coach Rohan Larkin. This 1 to 1 coaching program (based in Wodonga) caters for all standards of junior cricketers and is focused on assisting a player to maximise their potential. The Team Mount Beauty Gravel Groms program kicked off Friday 15th Oct.
If you have a keen, or wanting to be keen, mountain biker of primary or early secondary school age this is the program for them.
Gravel Groms runs every Friday at 5pm during school terms 4 and 1. The rides are for all genders and abilities and are adult supervised group rides.
Participant fees for the 2021/2022 season are $40 for your first child, $30 for your second child, $20 for your third child, capped at $90 maximum for a family.
Communications about the program, e.g. adverse weather, are posted to the program Facebook page.
Registrations can be completed online.
All participants need to have a current MTBA or AusCycling membership nominating Team Mount Beauty as their club.

Little Athletics
We're back! We are sure you're as excited as we are to see local summer sport coming back. Mount Beauty Little Athletics Centre are preparing for a season full of positivity, and look forward to our Little Athletes & their families joining us for a season of COVID safe - family fun and fitness. Meeting on Wednesday evenings at 5pm on the Les Peart oval (high school oval) we hope to see you there for some athletics fun!
We will start Mt Beauty Football Youth Academy Thursday 16th September 4pm to 6pm at Mt Beauty Oval next to primary school. Mario from Murray Bushrangers will be coming on the 23rd.
