Year 10 Sports Awards

 

Sporting Blue Awards 

Sporting ‘Blues’ Awards are awarded to those who achieved the highest school pathway-level achieved in their chosen sport in 2021. The Sporting Blue Award for Swimming CCC Team goes to Isaac Mooney 

 

Senior Sportswoman of the Year Award

Representing Kildare in numerous sports, including - Senior girls AFL, Diocesan touch, KCC netball, KCC Rugby Union, School athletics and swimming, qualifying for BISSA trials. The Senior Sportswoman of the Year is Emma Suckling

 

House Leadership Awards

These awards recognise student attendance, commitment to learning, and leadership in the following areas: teamwork, active faith life, and contributions to social justice initiatives.

The Nagle Rice Awards are for students who have been involved in more than 10 hours of Community Service. The Year 10 recipients of this prestigious award are Abbey Anderson and Ella McCorry.

 

The Mary MacKillop Award is for students who have been involved in more than 20 hours of Community Service. The Year 10 recipient of this prestigious award is Harrison Guymer

 

The 2021 Anne and Pat Brassil Award

Thisaward was established by the Brassil family to recognise a significant contribution to performing arts at the College. The Year 10 recipient of this prestigious award is Tyrone Vatubuli

 

Australian Defence Force Future Innovators Award

The awards recognises recipients’ science and mathematics abilities while highlighting the value the Navy, Army and Air Force place on STEM skills and STEM career opportunities within Defence. 

 

This year this prestigious award goes to Joshua Byrne.

 

Australian Defence Force Long Tan Leadership Award (Year 10) 

The ADF Long Tan Youth Leadership and Teamwork Awards started in 2006 to recognise students who demonstrate leadership and teamwork within both the school and the broader local community. At the same time, they recognise those who display strong values, such as doing one’s best, respect for others and “mateship”, characteristics that are integral to Australian society. The 2021 Long Tan Award goes to Rohan Cummins

 

ACU Award

This award is donated by Australian Catholic University for academic achievement, leadership, school service or social justice or any combination of these categories. The 2021 ACU Award goes to Eze Emebiri
