End of Year Message for the Head of Junior School

In ‘a second year like no other’, to be here with our students to the end of the school year and enjoy events in some hybrid form has been uplifting. We have been working in partnership with you our families, initially face to face and then ‘TEAMing’ into your homes for a good portion of the year.  I wish to acknowledge our families - thank you for doing your best and supporting the College.

I acknowledge the Junior School staff. You have been warriors not worriers in uncertain times. Thank you for consistently doing more not less, as we know, there are no spectators on the extra mile. To the departing staff - Lou Drummond, Nick Palmer and Rosana Marshall - all the very best in your future endeavours.

Congratulations to our Junior School students on your efforts, achievements and commitment to giving and being your best. This year you have shown resilience, gratitude and optimism.

To our families departing the Junior School, thank you for giving us the opportunity to get to know your children. We wish you well for 2022 and beyond.

May the spirit of Christmas infuse your life and that of your family members with hope, positivity and joy. For the New Year … may the calm be widespread, may the ocean glisten as greenstone, may the shimmer of light ever dance across your pathway.)

Kia hora te marino, Kia whakapapa pounamu te moana, kia tere te Kārohirohi i mua i tōu huarahi.
