Humans of Kilvington

This week's guest on 'Humans of Kilvington' is our wonderful Canteen Manager, Anita Alexander, who is also a former student!

1. When you were younger, what did you want to be when you grew up?

When I was young I wanted to be an astronaut. (I worked for Qantas, so almost made it?)

2. What AFL football team do you support?

I barrack for Carlton. Go Blues, it’s got to be our year soon!

3. You can travel to any destination in the world, where would you go?

If I could go anywhere, it would be on a cruise to Antarctica. I think that would be fascinating.

4. Funniest/most memorable moment at Kilvington?

When I was a student at Kilvington (Year 8 perhaps), I put on a red wig and pretended to be a new student called Sally Ann Spencer for a whole day. I still believe to this day that Mrs Venn, the Music teacher, actually believed me!

5. Share something about yourself that no-one would ever guess.

Something no-one would know about me … I own a convertible.

6. If you could swap your job with anyone else at Kilvington, who would you swap with?

Frank from Maintenance - he gets lots of chocolates for fixing things!

7. Your favourite thing about working at Kilvington?

I love working at Kilvington because it's still as nice a place today as it was when I was a student here, and I have great friends from then and now!

Thanks Anita!

Family photos for Anzac Day Commemorations

With Anzac Day Commemorations coming up, we would like to solemnly remember and honour all those who served and sacrificed in WW1 and WW2. Remembrance is a right and a ritual that reminds us of what it is to be human and of all the ties that bind us.

If you have or had a family member that you would like remembered on an honour wall and at future school services, could you please send in a scanned photo with details of their service and the relationship to the Kilvington Community to Nicola Devlin at devlinn@kilvington.vic.edu.au.
