Year 1 Unit

Well we’ve made it! After what has felt like a very long term, the Christmas decorations have started to appear and there’s a sense of fun in the air! The Year Ones have been busy creating all sorts of Christmas delights and we must congratulate JU4 for their win in the Junior section of the Christmas door competition. Well done JU4 - your Christmas village looked amazing!

The Year Ones were very excited to find out their new class and teacher on transition morning this week and came back to class feeling enthusiastic about next year. While it’s always sad to see students go, we know that they’re ready for the experiences and challenges that Year Two will bring.

Students will be bringing home a number of items this week and next so it may be worthwhile sending them to school with a plastic bag. The ‘tub cleanout’ will commence shortly. Some items will remain at school, such as their reader bags, and will be passed on to next year’s teacher.

The Year One team would like to extend a big thank you to all the Year One parents. We have appreciated all your support over the year, and were grateful for the parents who were able to help with excursions, reading, etc.

Finally we want to wish the Year Ones a wonderful break and hope they are able to have a good rest! We have thoroughly enjoyed teaching them this year and want to wish them all the best for their journey into Year Two.
