Capital Works Report

Sensory Room is progressing well. 

The room as you can see is a shell that will be filled with thick mats. The windows are high so should be out of harms way during robust crashing & bashing.  There will be a jumping bench on the northern wall where students can launch themselves onto mats. Occupational Therapists have inspected the room and are patiently waiting for completion.

A new ramp from the climbing room adjacent to the sensory room to the ground will be poured at the weekend. 

Capital Works program for the Yaluk Building is also moving along however as you can see from the site map it is a big project. There are about 5 weeks of work around the site before the contractors will be able to start the steel framing. We hope there will not be a delay in the fabrication of the steel beams.

Welcome to 2023 works completed during the break:

• Fencing of bus loop and Secondary areas has been completed
• Secondary outdoor shade area has been completed
• Middle School outdoor shade sail has been erected (ground work in progress)
• Trampoline has been installed in Playground 4
• Playground 1 & 2 trampoline nets have been replaced.
• Containers have been installed in the bus loop
• Windows in Primary toilets have been installed
• Windows in Middle School breezeway have been installed
• Painting of classrooms has been completed
• External speakers and cages have been installed
• Artificial grass has been groomed
• Blackboard has been painted on end of the Maintenance Shed in Playground 2
• Shade sails in Playground 5 have been installed
