Principal's Report

Activities Week

Activities week continues next week, and a reminder that casual dress, appropriate to school activities can be worn, while remaining SunSmart; covered shoulders, closed in footwear and a broad brimmed hat required for when heading outdoors.  We are still finalising details for next week’s program, but information will be ready tomorrow there will be some off site adventure activities in the Ovens area, a movie/shopping trip to Albury and of course, the ultimate day of leisure – Friday’s picnic day!

Picnic Day

The picnic day will be held at Mount Creek camp grounds, where students will be able to play games, go for walks, paddle in the river and just spend a day with their friends.  There is no cost for this day, other than for students to bring their own food, drink, and activities. Make sure to pack a broad brimmed hat so that you can get involved in the day’s activities.

Tuesday 20th is the last day of school, and for students that attend after the picnic day on Friday, activities will include preparation for next year, tidy up and odd jobs.  There is always a lot to do in these last few days before school finishes for the year, so make sure you are wearing clothes that can get dusty/dirty, not your finest outfit!

The Caf

Heather still has the Caf open from Tuesdays to Fridays and will be continuing this service next year.  But with numbers changing from day to day, Heather has asked that students should put in a lunch order if they don’t want to risk missing out on recess or lunch items.

Presentation Evening

Presentation evening is next Wednesday 14th, outside the Jessie Hollonds Studios.  This evening celebrates achievement in various areas across the school, not just in the academic area.  All families are invited to join in and celebrate the successes of all the students who get recognised at this event.
