St. Brendan's Soccer Club
Calling all future St. Brendan’s Soccer Club stars for season 2023!!
ANYONE CAN PLAY – PREP TO GRADE 6!
For those of you who don’t know, Garang Kuol (pictured above) is a former St. Brendan’s student and soccer player who has recently played in the World Cup in Qatar.
All good soccer players begin their journey somewhere and we are on the hunt for not only new players, but new parents and committee members to help keep our great club going. This cannot be possible without the help of some more volunteers.
Can you spare an hour or two to encourage and support the next generation of soccer stars by coming on board the St. Brendan’s Soccer Club Committee? In order for the 2023 season to go ahead, we are seeking at least 5 more members.
The current President (Kellie Crosier) and Secretary (Ange Collins) are prepared to guide you through this year to get the ball rolling, 'parden the pun', to transition over to a brand new team!
Please contact us via details below if are able to assist with this request as we really need more people on board to ensure we can participate this year.

Central Saints Junior Football club registrations are open for the 2023 season.

- Age groups: Under 10’s and Under 12’s. Players must be under12 as of 1st January 2023.
- Living scoring for Under 12’s
- Under 12’s final series with premiership honors
- EFTPOS machine and coffee machine are back and fully operational!
- Welcoming our returning players as well as all new boys and girls who want to play football at our safe and inclusive club.
For season 2023, Central Saints are providing vouchers to all registered players to help you purchase your footy apparel (includes boots) at discounted price thanks to our generous sponsors and committee.
Registration is now open, further fee info to come.

Wednesday 8th February at 4.30pm
Free sausage sizzle & drink after the session for all participants.

Hockey
Field Hockey is a great team-oriented sport that combines hand-eye coordination, spatial awareness, and anticipation with speed/ endurance running which are great for a healthy lifestyle.
The GV Hockey Association welcome existing players and encourages new participants to the sport to it's upcoming summer-autumn events, see below:
- Saturday, 11th February 2023, 9am - 10am, Hookin2Hockey Programme
- Saturday,18th February 2023, 9am - 10am, Junior Come n Try
- Saturday, 25th February 2023, 9am - 10am, Junior Come n Try
- Saturday, 4th March 2023, 9am - 10am, Hookin2Hockey Programme Break for Labour Day weekend
- Saturday, 18th March 2023, 9am - 10am, Hookin2Hockey Programme
- Saturday, 25th March 2023, 9am - 10am, Hookin2Hockey Programme
- Saturday, 1st April 2023, 9am - 10am, Hookin2Hockey Programme
A competition will also be held on Mondays from 5.30pm starting 27th February until 3rd April.
All events will be held at the Shepparton Hockey Fields, near the netball courts/ soccer pitches.
