Class Representatives

BECOME A CLASS REP

At Murrumbeena Primary School, we traditionally have 2 parent class representatives for each grade. We hope it is not a very time-consuming role!

We have a meeting in term 1 to discuss the role and give an opportunity for you to meet each other.

Roles include:

• Assisting the classroom teacher to organise extra helpers at times (e.g. excursions, for Grades 3 and 4, extra volunteers for the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden program)
• Liaising with the Social/Fundraising Committee on behalf of the class and encouraging others to be involved in school events eg. Easter raffle, working bees
• Being the class contact person for special events (e.g. Grade 6 graduation)
• Welcoming new families to the school
• Liaise with other class reps at your year level
• Organising social events for families

 Please complete the attached form and return to the class teacher by Monday 10 February to volunteer for this rewarding role.

You will be notified by the class teacher soon after this date.

Class reps will then meet with Lynne Foster and Chellee Plumb for an introductory meeting.
