Ecological Conversion 

The Earth Care Squad has been busy planting herbs and flowers in the garden on Whittington Street.  We have watering groups that make sure the plants won't dry out.  We are looking forward to our sunflowers coming into bloom.

The children are also taking responsibility for collecting recyclable containers and cashing in the returns.  The squad has so far collected $30 in recycled containers.  The children will decide what happens with the money raised from this recycling.

Earth Care Squad will be involved in an exciting art project documenting the native plants in our area.  The results will be displayed as an art installation at the Enfield Library.  To prepare ourselves embers of the Earth care Squad have been connecting with nature and participating in observational drawing of the different plants, trees and shrubs in the school’s Indigenous Garden.  Here are some images of our ‘work in progress’.
