Lab Report

Hi everyone, 

Wow what a term. 

We can’t believe how fast this term has gone. It certainly was great having the school full of students again and having more pracs for you all to do, as pracs are the largest part of our jobs and we just love getting in there with you and helping with your learning. You may have seen some of us in and around the labs jumping in and helping where we could. 

The science fair was a huge hit for us. We worked very hard to support the teachers and Monash staff in running there workshops. A huge highlight for the week was the STEM mystery bag challenge that we ran. It was great seeing team work, design thinking and also what you guys were able to build in such a short amount of time and how you used the limited resources so very well. We especially enjoyed the students’ use of the Swimming Caps and other things from the random box. Thank you to Mr Thompson and Ms P for coming up with an amazing way to distribute the items in this box. Congratulations to all the winners you did an amazing job building and presenting to the judges. 

Reminders: Keep your lab coats in your locker all term to avoid missing out on prac your lab coats are not going to smell that much through the term unless you do a fish dissection with Ms Bay. Store your safety glasses in your lab coat pocket as well. 

If you forget there is limited supply in the Lab office for borrowing for the day.
